 President's Welcome

Welcome to the 37th Triennial Greencastle-Antrim Old Home Week Celebration.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Officers, and the many committee chairpersons and volunteers…WELCOME!!!  It is an honor to be a part of this historic piece of America and continue an exciting tradition.

What a wonderful time to enjoy the Greencastle-Antrim community, family, friends, and new acquaintances as Professor Philip Baer’s idea of an Old Home Week continues some 108 years later.  We’ve kept many of the traditions alive that you’ve come to expect every three years and have added several new events in 2010 as we expand activities for all age groups.  It’s great to see the smiles, hand-shakes, and hugs of family and friends again as we see each other, reminisce fun times of the past, and make new memories for future Old Home Weeks.  While visiting, I encourage you to stroll downtown Greencastle, register at Headquarters, and take a drive or bicycle ride in Antrim Township and visit the many beautiful and historic sites that has been a part of this community for generations.

Take a few minutes and read this Official Program and see the many events scheduled throughout the week.  Visit our official web-site often for additional information and view current photos of the many activities.

Whether this is your very first Old Home Week or you are enjoying one of many, plan on attending these fantastic programs.  Enjoy the week, and be sure to say hello to the citizens and visitors you come in contact with.  Smile often…and make more of those memories, as the Greencastle-Antrim Old Home Week tradition continues for our  37th Triennial celebration!.

Best regards,

Ben Thomas, Jr.
